The Canadian Institute of Financial Planners (CIFPs) is a national, non-profit association dedicated to advancing the financial planning profession in Canada. As an independent and respected voice for financial planners, CIFPs advocates for high professional standards, consumer confidence, and recognition of the value that qualified financial planning professionals bring to Canadians.
Membership is open to financial planning and retirement planning professionals across Canada, including holders of recognized financial planning and retirement planning designations, individuals pursuing professional credentials, students enrolled in approved financial planning education programs, and others who support the advancement of the profession.
CIFPs advocates on behalf of its members and the broader financial planning community with regulators, policymakers, industry stakeholders, and the public. We work to promote professional excellence, strengthen public trust, and ensure that financial planning professionals are recognized for the important role they play in helping Canadians achieve financial well-being.
Through education, advocacy, and professional development, CIFPs supports a strong, respected, and inclusive financial planning profession — here at home and abroad.
